A Note on Weather

A quick guide to how weather affects your session

Weather is a big part of outdoor photoshoots. This quick guide shows you what to expect, what’s normal, and when we may need to adjust your session so you get the best photos possible.

☁️ Cloudy Days

  • Totally okay. Clouds = soft even light.

🌧 Rain

  • Light rain → Totally fine if you are comfortable with it

  • Storms → reschedule

🌬 Wind

  • 15–20 mph → We may switch location to a more manageable spot

  • 20+ mph winds → we should reschedule (hair, clothing, and sand make it impossible to shoot)

☀️ Heat

  • Summer gets hot. It’s smart to wear breathable clothing and bring water.

❄️ Cold

  • During the winter it does get a little chilly even on Tybee Island. Dress warmly, even if you plan to remove layers later. Comfort always looks better in photos.

🕒 How Rescheduling Works

If the forecast looks rough, I’ll reach out before your session.
We can pick a new time, location, or date; whatever gives you the best photos!
